The old days and laws in the United Kingdom used to allow nicotine to be added and sold in 50ml, 100ml bottles etc. Nowadays, the laws have changed, and e-liquid can only be sold with nicotine in just 10ml bottles. The 10ml bottles either contain nicotine salts or freebase nicotine. Nicotine salts are the raw form of nicotine which is sourced directly from tobacco leaves. Freebase nicotine is the process after the nicotine has been taken from the tobacco leaves and stripped of certain chemicals. Freebase nicotine has been the most popular of the two, with nicotine salts only coming onto the market recently. Nicotine salt strength usually goes up in 5s. For example, 5mg, 10mg, 20mg.

Freebase nicotine strength typically goes up in 3s, for example, 3mg, 6mg, 9mg, 18mg etc.

VG stands for “Vegetable Glycerine,” and originates from vegetable oils. This is the e-liquid for you if you are in favour of a thick, cloudy feel to your vapour. VG is slightly sweet and creates a hit that is much smoother than PG. It is the e-juice of choice for those who participate in sub-ohm vaping.

PG stands for “Propylene Glycol.” PG is a petroleum by-product that naturally doesn’t have a smell or a taste, and it isn’t sticky. Vapers around the world have described the throat hit that the PG gives its users as a similar feeling a cigarette would provide you. It also is known to hold flavour more than VG. This makes it more appealing to consumers.
